Nebraska Repeals Prelicensing Education Requirements

The Nebraska Legislature repealed state statutes during the 2018 Legislative session that covered prelicensing education. As a result, effective July 19, 2018, prelicensing education is not required to obtain a resident producer license in Nebraska. Applicants still may enroll in prelicensing education, but those courses will not be regulated by the Nebraska Department of Insurance.
